Te Whatu Ora Whanganui is seeking applications from Registrars and Senior House Officers wanting to progress their career to join our friendly team in General Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity where you can develop an enviable broad skill base that will expand your career opportunities in General Medicine. With regular teaching events and the ability to work alongside Specialists who are leaders in their field, why would you consider anywhere else?
The role will commence late January 2024 and is a permanent position in a team currently consisting of 7 General Medicine Physicians and 6 House Officers/Senior House Officers and 8 Registrars (including this role).
Our hospital is a well-resourced centre, proud of its comprehensive range of services designed to support the people of Whanganui in their health journey.
Te Whatu Ora Whanganui serves a population of approximately 60,000, performing 4,000 procedures annually in three elective theatres and one acute theatre. We have more than 50 RMOs working in General Medicine, Mental Health, Emergency, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, O&G, Paediatrics, Anaesthetic Departments and as Relievers. These positions do include night and weekend shifts on a rotating roster.
