With a large hospital campus at Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
The Opportunity
MidCentral is growing community-based services and a key role is this community based respiratory position. This opportunity is for a physiotherapist looking to specialise in respiratory.

The position is running a community respiratory programme for people with chronic breathing conditions. You will be working one on one with patients in their own home, setting goals so that they can manage their condition long term. Using a combination of exercise, education, breathing techniques and equipment provision to help keep them active and out of hospital. Linking with community groups to enable ongoing exercise. Liaising with primary and secondary care health care to ensure continuity of care and early intervention when required.
To be successful in this role you will need to be:
• Transformational and able to deliver innovative care to service users
• A New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with a current practising certificate.
• Able to meet the Physiotherapy Board competency requirements.
• Flexible in how you practice in changing times
• Able to quickly build credibility and relationships across the connected system
• Able to juggle competing demands and deliver effectively in a busy environment
