Palmerston North Hospital offers a wide range of opportunities in medical runs and actively promotes strong candidates into registrar positions. We have HO/SHO runs available in:
- Cardiology
- Renal
- Urology
- ENT
- Orthopaedics
- Surgical Relief
- Medical Relief
- Emergency Medicine
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Psychiatry
- Paediatric
- Haematology
- Medical Oncology
- Radiation Oncology
- Geriatric Medicine including outpatient clinics

There are also opportunities to do both an ICU and an Emergency Medicine rotation.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
- You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, highly organised and be an excellent communicator
