General Administration, Mail & Printing Team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral, Manawatu / Whanganui
Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
We are seeking an organised, accurate and efficient administrator to work in an admin role supporting a team of medical typists who work off site.
You would need to be available for work over normal business hours between 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (max 8 hours a day).
You will be responsible for a mix of general admin duties, but the main function of the role is to manage all incoming documents from the typing team and to print and mail out these documents in a timely manner – there may be some formatting of documents required.
Excellent word processing/data entry skills is a must, and you will be good at multitasking and setting priorities. Other desirable attributes are the ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy and presentation, the ability to work closely with colleagues and to manage a variety of tasks in busy environments.
Experience with medical terminology would be an advantage but not essential. You will need the ability to prioritise and possess excellent organisational and time management skills. We all maintain a strong commitment toward quality improvement. Experience in a call centre type environment would also be helpful for some duties.
As the majority of the team you are supporting work offsite, excellent communication skills are paramount and you will need to be a team player. You may be supporting other administration roles in the Depts. as required.
If this sounds like something you are interested in, we would love to hear from you.
