Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) is part of Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand and provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatū, Horowhenua and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus in Palmerston North, it also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities.
Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua | MidCentral has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse or Registered Allied Health Professional to join the newly established outpatient Lymphoedema service.
This person will be required to work under the delegation of the Specialist Clinic Nurse (Lymphoedema Practitioner) providing clinical and administrative support to assist in the ongoing development of clinic processes and practices.
This is a permanent part time position working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The exact hours of work will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
The successful applicant will be someone with a minimum of three years clinical experience who has effective oral and interpersonal communication skills, is able to work under pressure and delegation and enjoys meeting the challenges of a varied and changing workload. You will need to aware of principles around person centred practice, be sensitive to cultural differences and committed to the Treaty of Waitangi.
