The Injury Management team are an empathetic, collaborative, and professional team who provide rehabilitation support to Fire and Emergency NZ employees. We have been an ACC accredited employer for the last 21 years and are committed to providing effective and best practice rehabilitation support.
We pride ourselves on assisting employees who are temporarily unable to work due to a work injury or illness, to recover and return to work as soon as possible.
About the role
As part of a dedicated team you will support Fire and Emergency NZ employees whose work is impacted by injury or illness. You will work alongside injured or ill employees, their managers and union representatives, enabling them to stay at work or developing effective rehabilitation programmes to support them back to work.
Liaising with Health Professionals throughout the country, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate assessment of entitlements and the implementation of rehabilitation plans to maintain a safe and sustainable work fitness. Working with a supportive and professional team to help you develop, implement and maintain high quality rehabilitation services.
You will need to be able to travel occasionally to build sustainable genuine relationships with clients and managers, and attend rehabilitation meetings
This is a permanent role and the salary range is $84,981 to $94,423 per annum. Benefits include matched KiwiSaver employer contributions of up to 6%, life and income protection insurance for eligible employees, and generous sick leave provisions through our Wellness policy.
You'll have ACC Case and Claims Management experience or a background in health services. You bring knowledge of ACC legislation, including an understanding of the ACC Partnership Programme and its requirements. You understand the importance of communicating decisions in an empathetic manner, acknowledging our inclusive environment that promotes health and wellbeing.
Alongside the above, you also have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Demonstrated relationship management skills
- Experience managing consultative rehabilitation
- Understanding of workplace-based rehabilitation delivery
- Adaptability to work successfully with a variety of people and roles to achieve results
- Full class one NZ driver's licence
