Wellness Advisor Tamaki Makaurau Salary Range: 71,357 - 96,542 Police Employee Permanent, Part-time (24hrs) Job Requisition ID 10621

The Northern Communications Centre is one of our Police Communications center based in Auckland. Being a call taker is a challenging and demanding role, they are often the lone voice down the phone supporting people during their time of need.  You will need to be an experienced and confident practitioner that is able to work autonomously. You will have experience in working in a dynamic and fast paced work environment and have some recent and relevant case management experience.  You will need to hold a relevant health qualification such as Social Work, Mental Health Nursing or Occupational Therapy with a minimum of 5 years practice experience.

 

The NZ Police provide a Wellness Services to all Police employees. In this role you will work alongside supervisors and employees to assist them in maintaining their mental health and well-being .You will be part of a team of experienced professionals who provide confidential advice, guidance and support, promote mental health and work to build emotional resilience in all Police staff.  You will need to operate with empathy and agility and be able to prioritise and at times work under pressure. Special Requirements:

  • Professional qualification (Social Worker,Nurse, Occupational Therapist)
  • Must have current registration and practicing certificate

 

Additional Information:

  • Successful applicant must reside within the wider Auckland Area
  • Part time, 24 hours per week, salary will be pro-rata
