Reporting to the Director, Data and Analysis, you'll kick-start the development of the text analytics capability of the OAG. To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • the skills to deliver an end-to-end text analytics solution from unstructured public data sources;
  • a track record of promoting and implementing data mining methods/text engineering pipelines to improve existing processes and outcomes;
  • significant hands-on experience with open source and emerging technologies;
  • the ability to work autonomously, efficiently, and effectively; and
  • the ability to learn quickly and solve problems, with good communication, documentation, and relationship management skills and a “can-do” attitude.

An appropriate tertiary qualification and experience delivering different sized pieces of work is desirable.
