Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Assurance Advisor to join our busy team. We're looking for someone that's passionate about assurance, is ready to take on a role and make it their own.
Reporting to the National Manager Assurance and Risk, you'll be responsible for leading our assurance planning and delivery processes. This role includes feeding in to the development of the annual assurance plan, engaging with senior stakeholders to scope engagements and working with an assurance advisor to deliver the audit plan. You'll also play a key role in supporting our co-source assurance delivery partners and assisting the organisation with its fraud investigation and prevention processes. We've developed a clearly articulated career pathway within our assurance function so there are plenty of ways to progress your career across different disciplines within the team.

The salary range for this role is starts at $141,000.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role:
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of the central government landscape.
- Demonstrated experience in a professional services environment, preferably Top 4 professional services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to present audit findings both orally and in written format to a high standard.
- Demonstrated ability to influence change based on audit findings and recommendations
- Experience operating across an organisation with multi-tiered management structures.
- At least seven years of experience in assurance roles with proven expertise in making risk and control assessments and promoting business process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience executing fraud investigations.
- Knowledge and experience of standard organisational business practices such as finance.
- Commitment to key internal audit principles of integrity, ethics and independence.
- Knowledge of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
- Extensive recent experience in delivering assurance services.
- Sound knowledge of auditing principles, standards and practices.
- Experience working with C-Suite executives.
- Experience using data analytics techniques to inform assurance findings
