Job Description

Dunedin Hospital

  • Part-time 0.6FTE
  • Fixed-term to 27.12.19

We are excited to welcome applicants who are experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitians to join the dietetic team at Dunedin Hospital, Southern District Health Board. We have a fixed-term position available in our acute team, at Dunedin Hospital. The ideal applicant will have at least three or more years post registration experience.

The acute inpatient dietitian case-load is predominately adult focused and based on the surgical, medical and Older person's health wards. Experience in prescribing Enteral and Parenteral (IV) nutrition is required for this role. There is a small outpatient case-load for weight management.

This exciting and challenging role offers variety and will capitalise on your passion for dietetic care across the continuum of healthcare. You will have a focus on improving health literacy and education, as well as your ability to enthuse your patients and motivate real behaviour change. You will work autonomously, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with other health care providers, across a range of settings.

If you are a highly organised and motivated clinical Dietitian, who believes in "putting the patient at the centre" we would love to hear from you.

If you have a "can do" attitude and are able to prioritise and manage a busy case load, and bring energy and enthusiasm, we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will be available to start ASAP.

Closing date: Sunday, 5 May 2019.
