About the opportunity

Hand Therapy involves working with a wide range of patients referred from the orthopaedic, plastics and rheumatology services, as well as GP and community referrals and first presentation ACC injuries. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for Hand Therapy and is proactive in their ongoing development of advanced skills.

About you

Now is the perfect time to bring your minimum of two years experience that ideally includes working within any of the settings of Hand Therapy and/or Burns and Scar Management, orthopaedics, rehabilitation or musculoskeletal outpatients. You may have considered, or are already working towards, registration and a career in Hand Therapy. You will be someone who enjoys working as part of an established team and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work autonomously, manage and prioritise your caseload within the outpatient setting and have fun along the way.

About the team

Hand Therapy is based in our Physiotherapy Outpatient Department with our experienced team of Hand Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. You will also liaise with Fracture Clinic and inpatient clinicians to manage acute hands and burns patients.
