About the team

We are a medium but efficient multi-disciplined team covering all trades over Southland and Otago sites.

With varying amount of staff/ contractors to look after depending on projects that are happening at the time.

About the role - what's in it for me?

Are you looking for a new opportunity? Do you like the sound of joining our high-performing, multidisciplinary team that covers all aspects of asset facilities maintenance and using your carpentry skills?

You will be mainly based in Invercargill however occasionally you will be required to go to other sites in Lakes and rural regions under the SDHB. This permanent role is rewarding and varied - the last person stayed until they retired!

About you

You will have a can do attitude, with a think outside the box mentality that enjoys working alongside other trades to get the best result for our organisation where we help make a difference to our local community.

You will need the following;

  • A trade qualification in Carpentry or Joinery plus several years work experience
  • To enjoy doing a wide variety of work as no two days are the same
  • Experience in a 'handy man' type role would be useful but is not essential

A current class 1 driver's licence is essential as you will cover multiple sites.

The salary for this role is circa $52-55k depending on qualifications and experience.
