Salary Range $71,357 - $96,542

12 Months Fixed Term, Full-time

With a significant change in wellness and safety, this is an exciting time to be a key contributor to the Safer People service as it gains an increased focus supporting Police to maximize fit for work, fit for life for all employees. The Return to Work Team is responsible for improving the rehabilitation and return to work process and outcomes for NZ Police; ensuring employees who have been ill or injured return to full deployability in a safe and timely manner.

 

Return to Work Advisors will oversee the end-to-end return to work process and the coordination of all parties who play a part in the rehabilitation of the employee.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Your background to date may include rehabilitation or health services, however this role would also suit an HR professional who has managed return to work situations. 
  • Knowledge of ACC claim management process would also be beneficial. 
  • You will be outcomes focused with strong skills in process management, and will show empathy and professionalism in your work. 
  • Your ability to build relationships internally and externally and influence appropriately will also be a key trait that we will be seeking. 
  • You will be consulting with subject matter experts to achieve an acceptable outcome for all parties.

 

Certification Requirement:

  • Health Qualification desirable.

 

Special Requirements:

  • To apply for this role you must be a NZ or Australian citizen, a NZ permanent resident, or have a valid work visa.
  • You and your close family members must be able to pass Police vetting.

Additional Information:

  • The successful applicant must reside in the Bay of Plenty.  The position is based out of Rotorua District Headquarters, but travel throughout the Bay of Plenty district is required.
