Callaghan Innovation is New Zealand's innovation agency. We provide research and development (R&D) services, skills development programmes, access to local and international expertise and grants co-funding. We're here to liberate innovators.

This role

We are now looking for a passionate Programme Manager who will be responsible for providing and promoting highly valued and relevant innovation programmes to New Zealand businesses and enterprises. You will investigate ways to build greater awareness of the programmes, including research in best practices models for business education / training in other countries, and develop enhancements.

You will bring experience in developing and delivering multiple programmes. As you'll need to operate credibly at senior and executive levels, enhanced communication skills are a must.

To be successful you will have the following attributes and skills:

  • Ideally three or more years experience in programme and project management, development and governance
  • Proven experience in managing and growing business with deep knowledge of new project and process scoping, product development, financial management, governance, capability and capacity planning
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills including negotiation and contracting skills
  • Relevant programme experience with digital and online content is desirable
  • Proven expertise in business, productivities and continuous improvement techniques for business processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
