Officer in Charge, Fleet Manager


Permanent, Full Time

Salary Range $64,813.00 - $87,693.00

Napoleon is reported to have said an Army marches on its stomach.  The Northland Police however rely on a vehicle fleet to deliver our business.

We are looking for a Fleet Manager to ensure our vehicles are capable of deploying our staff across our diverse operating environment, from the wide open sands of Te Hiku to the bush tracks of the Kaipara. Our vehicle fleet encompasses urban patrol vehicles, four wheel drives, specialist and heavy vehicles.  

You will be based in Whangarei and will need to be able to conjure up workable solutions based on your knowledge of the automotive industry and our needs.


Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the operational aspects of fleet management.
  • Complete basic automotive repair work
  • Communicate effectively across the spectrum of Police members.
  • Manage partnerships to achieve sustainable solutions to identified issues. 
  • Manage your time effectively across the geographical spread of deployed fleet assets. 
  • Managing a sizeable fleet
  • Working with providers to achieve results within allocate timeframes.

Special Requirements
