Administrator - Fixed Term - Wellington at Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Wellington - Wairarapa

This is a great opportunity to provide general administrative support for a busy project team. 

 

This is a fixed‑term position running through to 7 October 2026.

 

Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role  

The purpose of the Administrator role is to provide administration support to the Payroll Compliance Project team.  You will be responsible for maintaining quality administration systems and delivering administration support of a high standard within agreed timeframes.   

 

Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role: 
You are seeking a short-term opportunity to make a difference in a key business area, where you will take some existing processes, own them and ensure delivery of payment outcomes to an impacted group of people.   

You will bring sound administrative skills, be comfortable working with numbers, and a high level of accuracy and attention detail alongside top notch customer service. 

 

 To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:  

  • IT competency using standard office programmes e.g. Excel, Word and Outlook.  
  • Strong integrity to ensure confidential information is handled with absolute discretion.  
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.  
  • Ability to work independently, providing a high level of customer service and sound accurate administrative support, in a payroll context
