Business Support Officer (Police Infringement Bureau)

Police National Headquarters, Wellington

Permanent, Full-time

Salary Range $49,158 - $66,507

New Zealand Police is the lead agency responsible for reducing crime and enhancing community safety. We work in partnership with individuals, communities, businesses and other public sector agencies to achieve our vision to have the trust and confidence of all.

 

The Police Infringement Bureau (PIB) contributes to the effort to reduce death and serious injury on our roads under the umbrella of the National Road Policing Centre. It is part of the National Operations Group whose purpose is to deliver 'Our Business' through coordinated national services.

 

The New Zealand Police PIB department are seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer based at The Police National Headquarters (PNHQ), Wellington. The Business Support Officer (PIB) will provide financial, logistical and/or administrative support to assist in meeting service delivery requirements.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrate excellent secretarial and administrative support
  • Demonstrate experience in general finance
  • Have experience in requisitioning and procurement
  • Experience in building strong sustainable and positive relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment and manage competing demands
  • Demonstrate a strong integrity streak, whereby you can be responsible for confidential information
  • Demonstrate personal commitment and responsibility in order to ensure you deliver your work consistently to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrates proficient keyboard skills and experience in Microsoft Office application, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Have a positive attitude and can communicate with integrity and respect
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Special Requirements:

  • To apply for this role you must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident
  • Successful applicant must reside within the Wellington region
