Intelligence Analyst

Wellington

Salary Range: $59,333.00 - $76,784.00

Permanent, Fulltime

Our District Intelligence Unit is currently recruiting for an experienced Intelligence Analyst to join our team based in central Wellington. We offer a diverse and interesting working environment with great opportunities for personal and career development.

 

As an Intelligence Analyst you will contribute to crime and crash reduction, and the prevention and disruption of criminal activity through analysis of complex policing problems and development of intelligence products that inform and support prevention, intervention and enforcement activities. 

 

In addition to the completed application, all applicants are required to submit work samples and may be required to undergo psychometric testing prior to interview, and complete a scenario analysis exercise at interview. To apply your application must demonstrate the following Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Formal analytical training and experience in an intelligence role.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills and experience using a variety of analytical tools and techniques to understand a problem,
  • Experience developing solutions that effectively influence and inform decision-making,
  • Advanced ability in presenting complex issues clearly to a range of audiences (written and verbal).

Special Requirements:

  • Hold the New Zealand Diploma in Intelligence Analysis or equivalent. If the NZDIA is not held, the applicant must have the necessary relevant experience and be able to complete and submit the required NZDIA modules (including work samples)
  • Be a New Zealand Citizen or have permanent residency and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
  • Travel across the District will be necessary so a Full NZ (or overseas equivalent) Driver Licence will be required

  • Successful applicant must reside within a commutable distance of Wellington
