Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is New Zealand's leading heritage agency. It manages the New Zealand Heritage List/ Rārangi Kōrero, the national list of New Zealand's significant heritage places.

Heritage New Zealand has a vacancy in its National Heritage Policy team for a Listing Advisor

to assist the Manager Heritage Listing to develop and co-ordinate the organisation's

New Zealand Heritage List services. The role works closely with the Kaiwhakatere Kaupapa Māori - Manager Māori Heritage Recognition.  

This is a fulltime position based in the Policy team in Wellington.

Applicants should have a tertiary qualification and preferably a minimum of three years' experience in a relevant professional field such as history, art history, archaeology, architecture or heritage studies.

Excellent writing, communication and database skills are required and experience with Sharepoint functionality and GIS applications is preferred.
