The High Tech Crime Group is seeking a talented Infrastructure Support Engineer. This role will give you a unique opportunity to work and develop in a key growth area and you will be exposed to technologies and concepts that few other organisations can offer.

You'll need to know networking, storage, servers, virtualisation and security. Some scripting or telco experience would be a real bonus. There may be a need to work in the field from time to time so you will need to be physically and mentally able. There may be requirement for a physical and psychological assessment.

You will have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved whatever is needed. This is an operationally focussed group so you will need to be able switch priorities and focus quickly.


Skills and Experience:

As a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will be able to demonstrate the following technical requirements:

  • Broad range of knowledge and experience relating to computer hardware, software and network technologies
  • Windows and Linux administration
  • User support and fault resolution

The successful candidate for this role will:

  • Be self-motivated and have excellent organisational, research, and communication skills.
  • Pay attention to detail and have the flexibility to cope with change.
  • Have the ability to rapidly absorb, understand and apply new concepts and technologies.
  • Be capable of making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Work well in team environments.


Special Requirements:

  • You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 10 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed
  • To be eligible for this role you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively, you must hold NZ Permanent Residence/a current NZ Residency Class Visa and have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
