We have a great opportunity for an experienced Administrator or Team Administrator to join SSC at the Auckland Policy Office. The Auckland Policy Office is a cross-agency hub for central government policy advice in Auckland, and is at the heart of helping manage the opportunities and challenges that arise form Auckland's rapid growth.

Reporting to the Office Manager in this role, you will be providing support to senior management located in the Auckland Policy Office. You will be working with staff from other government agencies, and with key Auckland stakeholders.

We need an experienced administrator who can be confident working to agreed systems, is highly organised and forward thinking and can ensure things get done.

We're looking for a team member who is customer-focused, flexible and has a positive and pro-active approach to work ensuring that tasks are completed to a high level.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience with diary management and meeting co-ordination
  • A proven track record of experience and success in providing administrative support to teams and managers, preferably in the public sector environment
  • A strong customer service focus and a proactive approach to their work
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated agility in supporting and responding to changes in priorities
  • Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes
  • Sound relationship management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications
