New Zealand Police is seeking a Video/CCTV Analyst for a fixed term 12 month position in Tamaki Makaurau, Auckland. This is an opportunity to work in an existing high performing and energetic small team, in Otahuhu Auckland, dealing with CCTV and other video to support police investigations.


A typical day might involve receiving unusual digital CCTV or other video files, analysing, problem solving, editing and preparing that video for presentation to investigators and the Courts. The successful applicant can initially be tasked with simple work, until training and skill level allow more complex tasks.


Skills - you will be able to:

  • Edit digital video and audio material
  • Analyse and problem-solve digital video files in unusual formats
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of analysis and workflows
  • Work concurrently on tasks
  • Deliver accurate work in a timely manner
  • Work within a small team sharing a high workload
    Experience - you will have:
  • Recent experience using professional video editing software - Apple Final Cut Pro
  • Competent ability with computer operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Apple OSX
  • Knowledge of common video resolutions
