About the Role

To our clients, being in work brings so much more than financial reward.  Our Work Brokers are motivated to connect with employers to provide job opportunities that make a real difference to real people.   You'll confidently engage with employers to provide a professional service to link our clients into employment.  You will establish good working relationships with external agencies and providers. You will promote Work and Income products and job seekers to potential employers. You'll work alongside Case Managers and other service centre staff to ensure sustainable employment outcomes for clients.  You'll have a comprehensive understanding of your local labour market.


What does a Work Broker do?

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships and networks throughout the community
  • Promote and market jobseekers to employers
  • Broker employment opportunities for individual job seekers
  • Support people to gain skills and confidence to gain employment


Skills and Experience

It's important that you possess a good understanding and insight into the challenges that affect our clients in the local labour market. You'll bring a broad understanding across a variety of industries, with a strategic focus that places importance on keeping up to date with trends in the labour market that affect our clients in the future.  A job search or recruitment background is valuable but more important is real-life experience and a knack for being able to deal with lots of different people and activities often at the same time.

  • A full clean drivers licence
