Social Work Supervisor – Section 132 Report Writing Team

Full Time, Fixed Term / Secondment for 12 Months

As a Supervisor your exceptional leadership skills will provide the capacity to work creatively, constructively, and effectively with tamariki, rangatahi, whanau, groups and communities to address individual and social problems. You will accomplish this by inspiring vision, offering direction, and supporting individual and team action to protect vulnerable tamariki and rangatahi.


There is lots of variety and challenge with no two days being the same. Work through complex information at pace to ensure Section 132 reports are completed within timeframes and to a high standard.. Your ability to make solid, evidence-based, safe decisions is greatly valued.


You offer:


  • full SWRB registration and current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
  • significant experience in, and understanding of, the Section 132 report writing process  
  • extensive child protection social work knowledge and practice expertise
  • experience leading and inspiring a team
  • proven ability to enhance team performance and capability
  • current full clean New Zealand drivers licence with no conditions
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • resilience and the ability to work under pressure
  • strong bi-cultural competency and a good understanding of tikanga Maori.
