Director, Data and Analysis

The Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) is looking for a Director, Data and Analysis to join our Research and Development (R&D) team.

You'll report to the Assistant Auditor-General R&D, and lead analysis projects that align with and inform the current and emerging priorities of the OAG. You'll also be developing and implementing the OAG's data strategy, supporting the organisation in developing its capabilities in decision support, forecasting, and predictive analytics.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • experience in enterprise data modelling, master data management, and design and data quality improvement initiatives;
  • an understanding of mainstream database engines, as well as emerging database technologies for “big data”;
  • experience in designing, building, and developing business intelligence solutions; and
  • good relationship management skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.

An appropriate tertiary qualification, advanced Microsoft BI analyst tools, and a good understanding of audit processes and financial data modelling is essential.
