Job Description

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who would enjoy the challenge of working on high-profile nationally significant resource management applications in our Nationally Significant Proposals Team, including:

  • Leading small teams to deliver the consenting processes for proposals of national significance.
  • Advising statutory decision makers, including Ministers and boards of inquiry.
  • Demonstrating solid relationship building skills – the successful candidate will actively seek and develop opportunities to engage with and influence stakeholders across the business at all levels.
  • Running robust application and regulatory processes within statutory timeframes.
  • Coaching and mentoring more junior staff.

This is a key role. Exceptional communication skills and a proactive approach will help ensure your success.

We are looking for a highly-organised senior operator, with sound planning, analytical, financial, relationship, and risk management skills. You will be politically savvy, able to see the bigger picture, able to deal with ambiguity, and calmly lead under pressure. Familiarity with budgeting, contracting and procurement processes is essential.

Knowledge and experience required

Our ideal candidate will have successfully led projects or complex regulatory processes within tight timeframes, and will know how to get the best out of small multidisciplinary proposal teams.

Experience in identifying and developing business opportunities, and in stakeholder engagement, will be essential.

A natural resources, project management or environment-related qualification would be a bonus.
