Crown Processing Officer – Permanent – Full time – Lower Hutt

We are seeking a Crown Processing Officer to join our busy Crown Revenue finance Lower Hutt.

 
About the group

 
The Ministry of Social Development Finance Group is responsible for the provision of best practice strategic and operational financial advice and services to the CEO and managers across the Ministry.

 
About the role

 
As Crown Processing Officer you will be responsible for identifying receipts and applying it to the correct debt, processing of crown rejected receipts, un-posted and withdrawn credits and reconciliation of Crown receipt bank accounts.

About you


To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following key qualities:

  • An outstanding team player
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • You must have excellent data entry skills, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of KEA financial system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • An understanding of banking and accounting practices within a large accounting unit would be an advantage
  • General government system knowledge would be an advantage
