About the role:

The Lead Advisor Privacy provides thought leadership, and specialist advice to strengthen the integrity and maturity of Oranga Tamariki's management of data and information assets with a focus on privacy practice. This means ensuring the organisation has a culture where information is kept safe while the maximum value is derived.

A key focus of the role is supporting the Manager Information Management, the Chief Privacy Officer, and the General Manager Risk and Assurance in developing, monitoring and reporting on the programme of work to implement privacy strategies, policies, plans and training.

The Lead Advisor Privacy is responsible for working across the organisation to develop, lead and embed increasingly mature privacy practices throughout the organization.

 

Skills and experience:

We are looking for someone with strong experience in privacy along with the following:

  • The ability to provide advice and support to staff across a large complex organisation
  • Experience in lifting organisational practice though development and implementation of strategies and frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate privacy concepts to various audiences
