Job Description

Programme Coordinator, Whanganui - Regional Service Delivery

Full time, Permanent

Do you have excellent relationship management skills?  Have you proven you are performance oriented and achievement focused?  Do you operate with high energy and enthusiasm?

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with staff in our Service Centres across the Taranaki Region, with a particular emphasis on Whanganui to ensure the Ministry's goals are met around course occupancy.  It is crucial that programmes are full and that our clients are in the right programme for their situation and employment goals. You will achieve this through strong relationship management and communications skills, having good judgment and problem solving abilities and having effective planning and organisational skills. The Programme Coordinator is the “go to” person for Programme Providers on day-to-day operational matters.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference.

Skills and Experience

Sound Labour Market knowledge is desirable as is your ability to identify gaps in our course provision for our clients.

As this role can be fast paced, you must be excellent at managing your time and priorities.

You will also bring:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop trust and rapport quickly
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Marketing and promotion skills
  • Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Good computer skills and the ability to pick up new systems and processes
  • The ability to adapt in a changing environment

We are committed to providing you with a positive work environment and will work with you to achieve excellent results for clients, the team and you. We'll give you great training, support and on-going professional development. You'll work with like-minded people who want to get great results for New Zealanders.
