The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Chief Executive (DCE) - Corporate Services to join our Senior Leadership Team.


The Corporate Services functions ensure Oranga Tamariki leaders and staff are provided with the tools, infrastructure, systems and information that allow them to deliver for children and young people. The DCE, Corporate Services leads the following functions.

  • Technology and Channels
  • Finance, Funding and Performance
  • People and Leadership
  • Governance and Assurance
  • Infrastructure


Some services within these functions are provided via a relationship with the Ministry for Social Development. This role leads this relationship and will develop the long term strategy for these services.


As a member of the Leadership team, you will work with your colleagues to provide strategic leadership and governance for the organisation. You will take a whole of organisation perspective and support your colleagues to deliver successfully on the objectives of Oranga Tamariki.

You'll have the strategic agility to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately, and be accustomed to the ambiguity that comes with leading in a dynamic and innovative environment.
