  • Do you have a desire to help New Zealand's most vulnerable?
  • Can you provide strategic thinking on challenging social issues?

About our Team

In our work, we make a real and positive difference for communities, through the services we invest in and the support we give.

The Safe, Strong Families and Communities (SSFC) group sits within the Community, Partnerships and Programmes business unit at MSD. The current focus of the SSFC group involves MSD's response to Sexual Violence, Family Violence and Building Financial Capability across New Zealand.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving a range of social services for New Zealanders. The core component of this role is working with the Sexual Violence Development Work Programme.

It's fast-paced and we are looking for a breadth of skills within this Senior Advisor role. This role provides insight and analysis of programmes and services at a national level, such as developing and implementing services or programmes across the SSFC work programme and promoting continuous improvement of services and processes.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • look at every challenge through the lens of opportunity
  • have a positive attitude and value team work
  • have adaptable communication skills to suit your audience / environment
  • provide practical solutions for complex issues
  • have resilience when working with hard-facing subjects.

A significant part of your role will be building relationships with key government stakeholders, internal ministry staff and the NGO sector. This means you are an excellent relationship manager with a collaborative work ethic and values that align to MSD's priorities.

You will also be expected to lead and contribute to work on both internal and cross government priorities.

Experience in the development, implementation and delivery of social services or programmes is desirable.

If this sounds like you, and you're ready to either take a step up, or take on the next set of challenges in your career, then we want to hear from you!
