Oranga Tamariki's Children's Team has recently made some significant positive changes which will enable the team to take on a new approach and direction.  This is an exciting time for the team and we have a number of newly formed roles for just the right people.


We are seeking a passionate individual to join our vibrant Children's Team in Wellington as a Business Analyst. We are willing to develop those with the attitude and drive to learn. The role is fixed term until 30 June 2019. 


In this varied role, you will be responsible for the analysis of data and providing high quality accurate advice and information to inform funding, strategy and planning and identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of Children's Teams. You will work closely and collaboratively with the other Analysts in the team and be a key contributor for achieving results in the position description around relationship management, service quality, audit, assurance, risk and compliance issues.  


Role responsibilities:

  • Provide business analytical support in response to requests for information.
  • Write clear, accurate and succinct reports tailored to the audience.
  • Provide advice, information and support to management as requested.
  • Act as a point of contact for the use of business analytics.


Experience required:

  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and with flexibility
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a BA role
