Job Description

THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO BE PART OF A SIGNIFICANT CROSS-GOVERNMENT INITIATIVE TO IMPROVE NEW ZEALAND'S LEGISLATION

BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER

(Fixed term, project specific role, ideally full time)

The New Zealand Parliament has delegated law-making powers to over 100 agencies, including government departments, Crown entities, and statutory bodies. Research by the Access Project has identified that there are many thousands of items of secondary legislation currently in force. However, there is currently no single location where individuals, businesses, or Parliament itself can access all of these items of secondary legislation, or find out what legislation has been made or is currently in force.   Ready access to the law is fundamental to a democratic society based on openness and the rule of law, and PCO is leading the charge through the Access to Secondary Legislation Project.

Be a part of the team that is going to change this situation by making New Zealand's secondary legislation readily accessible!

The Business Implementation Manager will play a key role in ensuring the success of the Access Project's objective and benefits, by increasing the PCO and agency staff adoption and usage of the Access Project outputs.  The incumbent will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology.   The successful candidate will have primary responsibility in creating and implementing change management strategies, plans and deliverables that maximise adoption of the Project.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional with high energy who is known for their infectious passion for change and their ability in applying appropriate change methodologies to effect and embed change across the public sector.

This full time, project specific role is for a fixed term period expected to finish at the end of April 2019, with a possibility of an extension.

Please see www.pco.parliament.govt.nz/current-vacancies for the job description and person specification.

Applications close on Wednesday 27 June 2018 and should be sent to applications.govt.nzYour application should include a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role, a CV and the PCO application form, available at the following link:  http://www.pco.govt.nz/how-to-apply/
