Customer Service Representatives - Lower Hutt

Customer Service Representative, Studylink Contact Centre

Permanent full time and fixed term (1/10/18 – 31/3/19) full time positions available

We are seeking motivated, strong communicators to provide exceptional customer service to our clients over the phone.

About the role

Although you will be part of a team, you will work as an individual to quickly build rapport with a diverse range of people over the phone including those in vulnerable situations who need advice, information and urgent assistance. In line with legislation and policy you will respond to client requests with empathy and kindness. We support our clients to help themselves with online access.

Under our new organisational direction, while you will initially be trained on Studylink, the work you do may vary between business units. You will be provided with the training you need to do the job.

You will work full time rostered shifts within the days and timeframes below:

  • Monday to Friday 6.55am to 10.00pm and
  • Saturday 7.55am to 6.00pm

About you

  • You enjoy providing great customer service and finding solutions for clients through the best channels.
  • Working in a fast paced environment you will manage customer's queries, navigate and update our computer systems.
  • Moving between different customer groups you will be flexible and adaptable. 
  • You will have great listening skills, attention to detail and will treat everyone with empathy and kindness.  


  • Comprehensive induction and on-going training.
  • Regular coaching and development.
  • Starting salary of $42,862 per annum.
