Job Description

Customer Service Representatives
Work and Income Christchurch Contact Centre
Ministry of Social Development
Permanent, Full Time (37.55 hours per week)

Simply put, people count on us. We need motivated, strong communicators to provide exceptional customer service to our clients over the phone.

 

About the role

 

Although you will be part of a team, you will work as an individual to quickly build rapport with a diverse range of people including those in vulnerable situations who need urgent assistance. In line with legislation and policy you will respond to client requests for information and support.

 

You will work full time rostered shifts with varying times within the below days and timeframes:

 

  • Monday to Friday 6.55am to 10.00pm and
  • Saturday 7.55am to 6.00pm

 

 

About you

 

You enjoy providing great customer service and finding solutions for clients through the best channels. Working in a fast paced environment you will manage customer's queries, navigate through computer systems and type notes. You will have great listening skills, attention to detail and will treat everyone with empathy and kindness.

  • Salary can increase to a maximum of $58,370 through performance progression.
