  • Are you adept at identifying Business needs?
  • Can you work across a broad range of Business work programmes?
  • Do you want a permanent role, Wellington based?

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is the lead agency for the social sector.  We help the Government to set priorities across the sector, co-ordinate the actions of other social sector agencies and track changes in the social wellbeing of New Zealanders.

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Strategy and Change team within Service Delivery. This is a great role to get involved with different business groups, understand and identify their needs and lead solution focussed options.  This is an exciting time to work in our new Service Delivery structure where you will be involved with complex work programmes and provide high quality advice on business issues.

To be successful in these roles, you will have proven experience to:

  • Contribute to diverse work programmes and be responsible for tracking and monitoring progress
  • Collaborate across the business to understand business needs and document business requirements
  • Identify business issues and take a BA approach to analysis and planning
  • Share your knowledge and experience with others to develop team capability
  • Assist in the business process or system design to ensure it matches business requirements
  • Contribute as part of major project teams including identification of risks, planning, team work and achieving targeted project outcomes
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships
