Administration Officer – Auckland Regional Office, Ellerslie
Ministry of Social Development
Full Time, Fixed Term until Monday 31st December 2018

 

We have a fixed term position available for an Administration Officer to join our Regional team.

                                                               

About the role

 

In this busy and varied role you will provide exceptional service to Auckland Regional office by providing a range of administration support services. You are also responsible for providing reception cover on occasion where you are the face of regional office, greeting members of the public, staff, visitors and other guests as the first point of entry to the regional two building campus. In addition to reception cover you are also responsible for coordinating meeting rooms, video conferencing equipment, visitor car parks and MSD pool car booking requests. You also provide other ad-hoc administration support services as required.

You are a quick learner who navigates computer and administration systems with ease. A fast paced, pressured environment is where you work best and you enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. Most of all, you pride yourself on your exceptional customer service skills, empathy and high attention to detail. You love going the extra mile and anticipating needs before they arise. You also have strengths in the following areas:

 

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of competence in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Administration, reception or team support
  • Good presentation skills – natural flair for design, layout and publishing
  • Experience maintaining and improving office systems.

  • Salary range $42,132 to $52,960 per annum (in line with skills and experience).
