About MSD

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is the lead agency for the social sector.  MSD provides policy advice, and delivers social services and assistance to young people, working age people, older people, and families, whānau and communities.  We work directly with New Zealanders of all ages to improve their social wellbeing.

About the Role 

We are looking for a seasoned HRMS Systems Administrator with great technical and people skills to maintain and improve our HR platform that provides shared services to separate organisations. 

Key areas of responsibility will include: 

  • analysis across the full SDLC relating to quarterly systems updates
  • resolving system problems and issues
  • system maintenance tasks and data cleansing
  • coordination and testing of software upgrades
  • development and testing of system enhancements
  • involvement in projects relating to SAP SuccessFactors.

You will enjoy working collaboratively in teams of a cross functional nature, as well as sharing knowledge and expertise freely whilst taking responsibility for a diverse range of tasks.  You will also thrive in a fast-paced environment and will enjoy variety, but will demonstrate strong ownership of your work and commitment to getting the little things right.

Skills and Experience 

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in SuccessFactors system administration and be comfortable working at a busy and challenging pace.  You will need to have managed time effectively and provided excellent customer service.  In-depth understanding of HR applications is required, along with a solutions-driven approach. 

Required as a minimum: 

  • management and maintenance of HRIS systems ensuring the integrity of system data
  • experience in working in a service provider environment
  • owning and maintaining artefacts such as systems and process documentation.

Your excellent communication skills will serve you well as you will be working with a diverse range of business professionals.
