Senior Advisor - Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Permanent, full time position

Fantastic opportunity to join the People & Culture team as our Senior Advisor - Health, Safety and Wellbeing. This role is an interesting position based on the Parliamentary precinct and is an opportunity for you to be able to make a real difference. Such as, contributing to the development and implementation of a health, safety and wellbeing strategy, online reporting system, resources and tools to ultimately pave the way towards establishing a vibrant health, safety and wellbeing culture.

We are looking for an experienced individual who has worked across the health and safety function at a senior level of a medium to large sized organisation. Your extensive expertise in the health, safety and wellbeing area will be called upon daily providing specialist advice to staff, leaders and senior management. Your strong relationship management and influencing skills will put you in good stead to build credibility with staff, leaders and senior management.

As a highly motivated individual with exceptional planning and organisational skills, the on-going monitoring of the effectiveness of health and safety policies, systems, procedures and tools will assist in our focus of ensuring all of our people go home each day healthy and safe.

As an experienced health and safety specialist, you will also have:

  • previous experience in risk assessment and control
  • previous team leader and/or coaching experience
  • demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to make sound recommendations
  • a strong commitment to customer focus.
