Intern Policy Analyst / Web Content Writer


  • Have you nearly finished tertiary studies or are a recent graduate?
  • Join us to assist with re-writing the policy guidance on our intranet pages
  • 3 month fixed term opportunity over Summer 2018/19

We are looking for a motivated student or recent graduate who has excellent written communication skills to help out the Policy Group with updating their internal web content.

About the role

This role forms part of a wider programme of work that is focused on how we can strengthening the quality of policy advice that we provide to Ministers and support government to make an implement social policy decision that help New Zealanders.

You will be part of the team involved in this work and your role will be leading the re-write of the Policy Group's intranet pages.

This role will appeal if you have:

  • web writing skills and/or knowledge of government and policy processes
  • excellent written communication skills and a passion for working with words
  • ideally some experience with TeamSite or another content management system
  • an ability to work independently and proactively
  • strong people skills and experience in building effective relationships
  • a desire to impact positively on vulnerable members of society

Ideally, you will be able to quickly understand and analyse policy processes to synthesise information into key points and guidance for others.
