About the role


Reporting to the Central Regional Commissioner for Social Development you will be responsible for ensuring the effective purchase and management of contracted services for our clients. In addition to your people management responsibilities you will develop and lead the strategic direction for Central. Your solid understanding of social and or economic/business development enables you to ensure that Work and Income's purchasing power is used to its full potential to meet our clients' needs. A key part of this role is developing and maintaining strong relationships and networks across a range of industry partners as well as monitoring the performance and viability of contracted service arrangements.

About you


You have extensive experience in budget management and financial reporting as well as the proven ability to set and lead effective strategic direction at a senior level. You're a skilled negotiator, who is strongly committed to achieving goals and quality outcomes. Relationship Management is one of your natural strengths, empowering you to influence and negotiate outcomes at a senior level with ease. A relevant qualification in finance, procurement, business or management is highly advantageous.
