Team Administrator IT Core Software Products


  • 12 months fixed term opportunity
  • A fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest IT departments in New Zealand
  • Based in Wellington CBD

We have one of the largest IT departments in New Zealand with a wide range of opportunities available and a diverse range of technologies used. The IT Core Software Products group is responsible for the day to day maintenance and on-going operation of the Ministry's core IT applications and systems development. This group is also responsible for enhancing these applications in response to IT, business or government policy initiatives.

We are currently seeking and experienced Team Administrator to join our busy Core Software Products teams.

There will be particular emphasis on:

  • Calendar and diary management
  • Accurate minute taking
  • Meeting paper preparation
  • Using the myHR system to assist in staff recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Induction of all new staff joining the Core Software Products group
  • Tracking and managing the assets (PC's, tablets, phones) in use across the group
  • Ad hoc administrative support as needed to ensure your team is well supported


To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Advanced MS office package skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in a busy administrative role


To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • A strong eye for detail and accuracy
  • A highly organised approach to work with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • The ability to demonstrate flexibility as needs change
  • The ability to learn quickly to pick up various tools and follow the internal administrative processes
