Job Description

We are seeking expressions of interest for a fixed-term role (until approx. November 2020) for a Workstream Delivery Manager, within the Information and Communications Technology team based in our national headquarters office, Wellington.

The organisation is current undergoing an Integration Phase which involves bringing together the functions, systems, processes, tools, structures and ways of working that are required for Fire and Emergency NZ to operate as, and be seen to be, one organisation.

Our Infrastructure Workstream is focused on designing and implementing technology for a modern, mobile organisation, developing strategies for asset management, data migration and quality and refurbishing equipment to support an integrated organisation.

The core purpose of this position is to lead the Infrastructure Workstream team to deliver on a range of agreed business and ICT infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Director ICT, the Workstream Delivery Manager will be a contributing member of the ICT management team.

This position is also responsible for ensuring project deliverables are successfully integrated into the business as usual functions of the organisation.

The ideal applicant:

  • A seasoned senior programme manager who has delivered multi work programmes in a large organisation. A minimum of eight years working at this level is required
  • Wide experience in delivering technology projects (software, infrastructure, end-user). A minimum of ten years working in the technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, motivate and lead multi-disciplinary teams engaged in a variety of outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting relationships with operational staff and union representatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with business and product owners to achieve agreed outcomes
  • Experienced in financial forecasting and modelling including whole-of-life costs
  • Demonstrated experience in report writing and business case preparation and approval

The remuneration range for this role is $126,215 - $180,239 per annum.
