You will be part of a small, agile, innovative team with big ambition - the Chief Executive Development, Appointment and Remuneration team. Your team:

  • leads and manages the recruitment of Public Service chief executives
  • provides advice on remuneration and terms and conditions for State Services chief executives
  • provides advice on fees for members of government boards and committees administered under the Cabinet Fees Framework
  • identifies the need for new or improved policies, processes and documentation and undertakes or commissions this work

What we need from you

To be successful in the role of Senior Advisor/Advisor you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in business, Public sector or HR management or other relevant qualification
  • Experience operating in a consulting style environment at a senior level
  • Demonstrated ability to bring together the contributions of diverse teams to deliver a complex work programme
  • A track record of being able to deliver this
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as a trusted advisor to senior executives
  • Good eye for detail and excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Demonstrated discretion and tact to handle confidential and private information.
