Reporting to and working closely with the Manager Heritage Assets Central Region, the Property Lead Wellington will oversee three iconic Wellington heritage buildings: Old Government Buildings, Turnbull House, and Chevening. 


The Property Lead will focus on the specific management and relationship needs of these three historic properties, which are leased or will be leased and have more limited visitor offerings. The Property Lead will also be a member of the project team for the planned seismic strengthening of Turnbull House.    


We are looking for an experienced, successful property manager who is passionate about heritage and will enhance the commercial position of these buildings by expanding key customer relationships and identifying business opportunities.  The person we are seeking will be a motivational leader and a strategic thinker with experience in operational and project management.  Excellent relationship-building skills, creativity, and innovation are essential.


A tertiary qualification and/or experience in a relevant field such as marketing, tourism, heritage or museum management or relevant field are required. Experience in managing contracts and contractors, and stakeholder management is particularly beneficial.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
