Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role
Reporting to the Manager Property Strategy and Asset Management, this position will ensure Fire and Emergency are meeting property standards, compliance and helping to manage risk for its facilities. You will manage a high-level overview, managing and updating policies, processes, and systems to ensure we are meeting compliance regulations. You will work closely with our Regional Property Teams to proactively managing health and safety risks focusing on issues such as asbestos, seismic, fire, and fume management.
This position can be located out of our Wellington or Christchurch, offices, and has the option to work from home 1-2 days a week on arrangement with your manager.
Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you'll bring to the role:
Bring your strong background in high level property, asset, or facilities management, along with your excellent knowledge of sectoral health and safety considerations, including asbestos, seismic projects and IL4 construction, ground remediation, and other property-related risks.
You will bring your high-level strategic overview along with your experience drafting and updating relevant policies, processes, and systems.
To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will have:
- A relevant degree in Asset or Facilities Management or equivalent experience.
- Substantial experience in Property Compliance Management.
- Experience in Contractor and Contact Management.
- Demonstrable experience working on asbestos, and seismic projects.
- Experience with IL4 construction for other property related projects.
- Proven relationship building skills with the ability to use evidence to empower others.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills working with a wide range of stakeholders.
