Administration Officer

 

Support to LSV Programme (Limited Service Volunteer)
Permanent, full time 

      
We are looking for a highly motivated and organised Administrator who will be responsible for the day to day administration of the LSV programme.
 
The responsibilities of this role include:

 

  • Contacting young people to talk about the LSV programme
  • referring young people to their local Youth Service provider or Work and Income service centre to apply for the LSV programme 
  • receiving and screening all LSV applications to determine those young people who meet the core eligibility 
  • checking all information added to core MSD systems is entered correctly, including CMS opportunities
  • forwarding the invoices for LSV medical examinations to the National Accounting Centre
  • forwarding LSV applications and medical forms to NZDF 
  • contacting a young person:
  • when MSD receives an outcome of their LSV application 
  • a week before March In to confirm their availability
  • providing support to the National LSV Coordinator to fill each place available on the LSV programme
  • monitoring and managing an application, accepted, wait and roll-over list
  • providing regular application and accepted reports to National Office.

 

Our ideal candidate is someone who is confident using spread sheets, skilled at working with other key service providers and enjoys the variety and challenge of dealing with a diverse range of young people as they grow and develop. This is a learn on the job opportunity so you must be keen and resourceful. 

 

  • You will hold a full New Zealand drivers licence with no restrictions and be willing to travel to fulfil job requirements.
  • As this is an ANZSCO level 4/5 role, candidates must have  NZ Citizenship or Permanent Residency at the time of application.

 

Important application information

 

The position's home base is Auckland Regional Office, Ellerslie, but at times you will work from the LSV Training base at Whenuapai Airbase. There may be times when you are required to work outside the core hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm week days when the course is running.  If you have the relevant skills and abilities, then we welcome your online application
