Permanent - Full time - Wellington

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Manager National Office Facilities, you will be responsible for leading a professional, client focused and high performing facilities team at our National Office/s. In this role you will ensure the planning, managing and leading of facilities management, security access management, building maintenance, mailroom management, kitchen supplies and services, meeting rooms and other products and services while building capability within the team that thrives on mana manaaki – A positive experience every time. 

 

Skills and Experience

 

You will pride yourself on your ability to inspire, engage and drive a team with diverse responsibilities and skills. You will also have an ability to foster continuous improvement with a focus on quality, consistency and efficiency of processes within your activities and those of your team. You will also offer:

 

  • Experience working in a modern facilities management environment
  • Leadership experience with a flexible approach, adaptable to change, providing constructive feedback
  • Ability to write clear and concise material at both a strategic and operational level for various audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to stand apart from the immediacy of situations and take a broad or long-term view, foreseeing opportunities and developing workable solutions to problems
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong decision making skills – able to analyse information from a variety of sources, make sound judgements and assumptions based on fact
  • Experience in the implementation of strategies/initiatives that align with organisational needs and long-term outcomes
  • Advanced IT skills including Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail) and research tools (internet and database use)
  • Commitment to service excellence
