Test Analyst


About the Role


The Ministry of Social Development has one of the largest Information Technology Groups in the country.  The IT Testing Services Team works in coordination with other IT departments and is primarily responsible for providing independent application and product testing.


We are seeking energetic highly motivated experienced Test Analyst who is keen to grow your test career and skillset to join our team. This is your chance to utilise your well demonstrated testing skills in a large and complex environment.

You will also need to:


  • Have a good understanding of testing processes and the value of testing in the  development lifecycle
  • End to End testing experience in systems such as CMS, EOS, ABT, SWIFTT or proven testing experience in other critical payment system is required.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work with multi-skilled teams across the programme of work
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work reliably, both individually and in team environments
  • Stepping up when needed for leadership tasks, willing to assist and share knowledge to others
  • Experienced in test planning, test development, execution of test assets, complete system integration, functional testing, regression testing, defect management and reporting
  • Be technically savvy - you will be expected to develop both manual and automated tests - we use TOSCA as our tool of choice, as well as Selenium
  • Have experience in using CONFLUENCE and JIRA
  • Familiar with or has experience in SQL, XML and SoapUI (advantage)
  • Practical knowledge in Agile projects and in DevOps delivery. Exposure to the Scaled Agile framework (SAFe would be a definite advantage).
