Job Description

Social Services Accreditation Assessor (2 positions) - Auckland

  • Enthusiastic about quality improvement?
  • Confident with evidential inquiry?
  • Experienced in social service provision?

About the Role

As a Social Services Accreditation (SSA) Assessor, you will review social service providers against a set of standards.  You will hold a portfolio of providers and work autonomously to achieve your personal targets.  You will also contribute to the broader goals of the Auckland and National SSA teams.

You will be part of a team accrediting a wide range of social service providers.  You will use your experience in quality assurance from across government settings, auditing skills, or knowledge of social service delivery to provide surety to government agencies, that the providers they engage with have the capability to deliver quality social services.

Skills & Experience

You will be confident and revel in managing varied and sometimes challenging relationships with providers and other key stakeholders.  This will draw on your cultural awareness, communication and relationship management skills.  You will hold a full current driver's licence and travel frequently.

If you think you have the skillset and experience to enjoy this role, we would like to hear from you.

About the Team

The Social Services Accreditation team provides assurance to Ministry of Social Development and other government agencies about the capability and capacity of social service providers to provide competent services.  There are four regional teams and a National Office team based in Wellington.
